Dear MFIX user,
We are pleased to announce that a team of researchers at NETL has been awarded 6 Million processors hours through the Innovative and Novel Computational Impact on Theory and Experiment (INCITE) program. The title of the project is "Clean and Efficient Coal Gasifier Designs Using Large-Scale Simulations". The allocated computational resources will allow researchers to conduct high-fidelity simulations of a commercial-scale Clean Coal Power Initiative (CCPI) transport gasifier. MFIX will be used to conduct the simulations the Department of Energy Office of Science).
