Coal Jet Penetration – R4 H2O

As part of the effort to better understand coal jet penetration, a reduced configuration of the full commercial scale gasifier was considered by focusing on only the coal jet region using time averaged flow field conditions from a 10 million cell full commercial scale simulation to impose inflow boundary condition for the reduced configuration cases. Results were obtained with high order discretization scheme (deferred correction method with Superbee discretization scheme). The grid size is 60 x 450 x 90 = 2.4 M.
