5. MFIX-PIC Code Verification Test Cases¶

The contents in this section are derived from the TRS report on MFiX-PIC V&V [32] published in 2020. The test cases presented in this chapter are summarized in Table 5.1. Under verification (PIC01-PIC05), the results from MFiX-PIC are compared with exact or analytical solutions, while experimental results are used for benchmarking under validation (PIC06 and PIC07).
